FAQ

Can anyone join the Homegrown Marin Market?

Yes! While the Homegrown Marin Market is a “private” social food club that requires membership, it is open to everyone.

Why exactly do I need to join as a member? Can I just show up at the door?

Yes, you can just show up at the door, but you will be required to sign-up as a member to enter. The reason is that some of the vendors do not have commercial food businesses, so we need to ensure that those in attendance are aware of this and are responsible for their own consumption. It’s just a formality. And don’t worry, we will not sell your email to anyone and will only use it to send you updates about the Homegrown Marin Market. You have the choice to opt-out at any time.

How do I find out the dates and locations of the Market?

Once you join as a member you will receive updates about the next Market including dates and locations.

How often do the Markets take place?

Markets are happening monthly at this time.

Is there a fee to join?

Membership to the Homegrown Marin Market is free. There is a $5 admission fee to events to help cover costs.

Can we eat at the Market or is it all “to go” items?

There are both packaged foods and hot foods available at the Market. Feel free to bring your own food container or reusable plates/cups. We encourage environmentally responsible consumption.  : )

Food can be enjoyed next door at the Robin Sweeny Park or other nearby parks on the beautiful Sausalito waterfront.

Do vendors take credit cards?

Admission is cash only. Vendors take cash and some take credit cards. Hit the ATM before you come!

How do I become a vendor?

To become a vendor, sign-up on the Vendor Sign-Up. You will receive information about the next Market and details about vending.

How much space does each vendor get?

Booths are approximately 6×5 ft. (room for a standard table/chair) Booths are both indoor and outdoor.

How do I know if my stuff is good enough to sell?

If you’re passionate about what you make and it tastes good to you, there’s a good chance others will like it too! Potential vendors are invited to a tasting so that we can sample your goods.

If I am accepted as a vendor do I have to committ to selling at every Market?

While you may develop a big fan base who are dying for you to come back, you are not required to commit to any other event than the one you have signed-up for. There will be a selection process for each Market. Ideally, we would like to have a mix of old and new vendors to give a wide selection of the deliciousness that’s out there!
